This 260 Z was the subject of a complete body-off restoration. The 2.6 liter engine originally produced 163hp and now has about 190hp with the addition of Weber downdraft carburetors and exhaust manifolds. The engine was rebuilt with all new internal components and the 5-speed manual transmission was also rebuilt. It has approximately 120,000 original miles and only 1,000 miles since restoration. The list of new items on the car include brakes and brake hoses, master brake cylinder, starter motor, radiator with 2 electric fans, electronic ignition, distributor, spark plugs and wires, all hoses, air conditioning pump, condenser, wheels and tires, rear window aluminum sun deflector, radio and speakers, seat webbing, seat cushions, seat covers, carpet, padding, center console, chrome bumpers, all rubber components, dash and suspension. It comes with repair manuals, photos of the restoration and most receipts. This is an exceptional example of a terrific car.

Branson Auto Museum was conceived in August of 2007 and opened on May 15, 2009. Partners in the Museum, knew that the Branson area was hungry for car and automotive related things to do. Branson Auto Museum was originally scheduled to go into a purpose built 20,000 sq. ft. building on the Strip. When the partners discovered that the former crafts mall the "Engler Block" was available, they knew it would be the perfect fit for what they were planning. The buiding is layed out in sections that wander through the building which is the ideal setting for a museum. The charm and character of the building also lends itself nicely to a museum.
